Our Journey
How Lightning Corp. made Project SYNC to what it is today
2022
Project Idea
Alan Maldet proposed an idea of an application that would utilize AI to create a light show, without needing technical experience.
2023
First Project Iteration
Project SYNC's first version came to life, using HTTP packets to simply change the color of a light on the beat of a song. This version would slow internet and would consistently crash.
2024
Algorithm Restructure
A whole new algorithm was created to not only sync lights up to just the song itself, but also split up the song into stems. Things like vocals and the drums of a song would be separated to create a much better show. At this point, Project SYNC would switch from HTTP and would use the E1.31 streaming protocol to display the show. This would keep the internet stable and limit crashes.
2025
Current Show Algorithm
Using the old algorithm as a base, Project SYNC can now recognize lyrics in a song to further customize the show, as well as identify the chorus of a song. Each light that is used is able to have its own stem assigned to it, such as roof lights only being synced to the vocals of a song. The awaited feature of playlists has been added. This feature allows users to have a list of shows play all night without interruption.
